WH-Words: Used for making Questions.

WH-Words or Question Words

 We use some words for making questions or making interrogative sentences, these are called Wh-Words in short. Actually, they are from two different parts of speech. 

  • who- (কে/কাহারা)-Interrogative pronoun group. [Subject]

  • whom- (কাহাকে) Interrogative pronoun group [Object]

  • whose-(কাহার)   Interrogative pronoun group [Possessive]

  • what -(কী)        Interrogative pronoun group [Thing, Person]

  • which -(কোনটি) Interrogative pronoun group [Thing]

  • when -(কখন)                   Interrogative Adverb [Time]

  • where-(কোথায়)                Interrogative Adverb [Place]

  • why -(কেন)                      Interrogative Adverb[Cause]

  • how -(কত, কেমন, কীভাবে) Interrogative Adverb [Manner] 

    ➡️Examples: 

    1. Who: Who are you? 

    2. Whom: Whom do you want? 

    3. Whose: Whose car is this? 

    4. What: What is your permanent address? 

    5. Which: Which pen do you like? 

    6. When: When do you go to sleep? 

    7. Where: Where are from? 

    8. Why: Why are you laughing? 

    9. How: How are you? 

                     How will you go there? 

                     How much do you need?
